American writer Mike Max was raised in Gaylord, Minnesota, and is a native of that state. He is currently employed with Minneapolis, Minnesota City-based WCCO TV and Radio as a sports anchor and reporter. He hosted Sports Connection on the Midwest Sports Channel prior to joining the WCCO staff, and then focused on running the Mike Max Productions Company, which is best known for producing the weekly TV show “The Sports Show.”
