Rob has been contributing to NBC Bay Area’s weekday weather coverage and weekend weather predictions since 2003. Additionally, he creates and contributes to weather-related news specials, such as the distinguished “On Thin Ice” investigation into how climate change is impacting Alaska’s glaciers. Rob is a guest instructor for San Jose State Meteorology when he is not broadcasting for NBC Bay Area. He oversees the department’s broadcast meteorology minor program and helps Cal State East Bay in Hayward with its meteorological-related courses.
His volunteer activity in the community includes serving as a former board member of the Lupus Foundation of Northern California, serving as the emcee for the annual 5K Walk/Run, and traveling to Washington, D.C. with the Lupus Research Institute to speak about lupus at congressional hearings.
