For her reporting and anchoring at WCVB, Mary has received multiple New England Emmy Award nominations. Mary most recently received an Emmy Award in 2019 for her reportage on the devastating gas explosions in Merrimack Valley. Mary also received two Emmy Awards in 2017, one for Continuous Coverage and the other for her coverage of the “Taunton Rampage” story, which contributed to WCVB winning the prestigious Best Newscast prize. She received the award in 2001 after receiving three nominations for the Individual Achievement Emmy Award for her work as an anchor.

Mary was nominated for six Emmys for her reporting and anchoring while she worked at WGAL by the Philly Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She is also the recipient of numerous Associated Press Awards. Prior to joining Channel 5 in September 1999, Mary co-anchored the daily 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts on WGAL-TV. Hearst Television is the owner of WGAL and WCVB.
