As a sports photographer and editor for television, Kevin started his career in Oklahoma City. Ogle had previously worked at ABC affiliate KSWO-TV in Lawton, Oklahoma, CBS affiliate KFSM-TV in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and KWCO radio in Chickasha, Oklahoma, all while using the alias Kevin Bowman. One of the four Associated Press Awards for Best General News Reporting that year went to him. In 1987, the Arkansas Associated Press gave him an honorable mention for the investigative reporting project Road to Recovery. Prior to being elevated to weeknight anchor in 1996, he joined KFOR in 1993 as the station’s weekend anchor and general assignment reporter.
