Reporter and acclaimed American news anchor Dana Tyler is currently employed with WCBS-TV. She started working there on July 16, 1990. She hosts the newscast at six o’clock. Additionally, Tyler is the host of the WCBS half-hour weekly community affairs show Eye on New York. Tyler obtained his high school diploma from Worthington. She received a scholarship and earned a journalism degree from Boston University. Tyler started out as an intern at Columbus’ WBNS-TV Channel 10. Later, in 1981, she was offered the position of reporter. In 1987, the station attracted the first satellite truck. Heart of Ohio is a state-wide program that was started by Dana and her co-host Dave Kaylor.

She performed well on the show, which led to her winning an Emmy. She eventually rose to the position of co-anchor for the station’s evening newscasts. In June 1990, she relocated to New York to work as a reporter and weekend anchor for WCBS-TV alongside Reggie Harris. Tyler was eventually shifted to the 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. newscasts.
