Bryan Busby Weight Loss

After investigating the cause of the weight gain, it was found that team KMBC-TV didn’t consume many calories in the morning but did so in large quantities later in the day before going to bed. Team KMBC-TV lost a total of more than 30 pounds after a few weeks of following their new diet and exercise routine.

After losing more than 10 pounds quickly, Larry Moore, one of Kansas City’s most recognizable faces, became a morning meal enthusiast, proving that the nutrition strategies were effective. The necessity of eating when one first gets up in the morning has startled Moore the most. I’ve always believed it’s a good thing to skip breakfast. Now I realize how crucial it is to kickstart the metabolism in the morning.

After a few months in 2010 and after losing 30 pounds, Busby started investing in a completely fresh wardrobe. Although Busby is undoubtedly making the most of his little frame, it wasn’t about improving his appearance for him; rather, it was about insuring his wellness. The vivacious media personality has battled Type 2 diabetes for more than eight years, and despite taking medication, his blood sugar levels weren’t very well regulated. Busby had clear memories of his diagnosis.

Busby states that his blood sugar level was 986 mg/dL when he first pricked his finger. “That number is one I’ll never forget.” Busby’s primary care physician is thrilled that after a significant weight loss, his fasting blood sugars have now gone below 100 and are constantly staying very close to normal. Busby also smiles broadly.

“This has been a life-changing experience for me,” he says. Since 1994, I have never weighed less than 200 pounds. Saying you can’t do something is false since you can do anything if you really want to. I am living evidence! When he informed me that I was a size 40, I was surprised,” he explains. “At that point, I made the decision that I would always want my waist to be smaller than my age.

My size 36 trousers are already beginning to sag on me. Not only is my waistline getting smaller, but I also feel more bright, have more energy, and can concentrate better. I also don’t feel like I need a break when I have to go on air for several hours straight due to bad weather. This has all been really exciting for me!”

Bryan Busby KMBC 9 News

Busby, the chief meteorologist of KMBC 9 NEWS, rose to prominence as Kansas City’s top meteorologist after joining the station in 1985. Bryan is currently heard on NewsRadio 980 and 98.1 FM, KMBZ, heard in the afternoons on Dana and Parks, and he formerly worked as Chief Meteorologist for the Chiefs Fox Football Radio Network. Bryan has helped to place KMBC-TV on the “weather map” with ground-breaking shows like “Guaranteed Weather,” “EarthStation,” “Weather-To-Go,” “Bryan Goes to School,” and “Instant Weather Network,” a weather display system for which he was awarded the U.S. Patent No. 5,943,630.

Bryan is Kansas City’s favorite television personality because of his humor, interactions, and commitment to the local community. When I do an on-location weather report, I never know what to anticipate. Spontaneous reactions make my job interesting and occasionally very difficult. One of the best broadcast meteorologists in the nation is Bryan. Bryan served as the chairman of the Board of Broadcast Meteorologists for the National Chapter of the American Meteorological Society from 1997 to 1998. He was a candidate for “Good Morning America’s” weathercaster role in the same year. Only 10 weathercasters were chosen to be included in the Weather Channel’s “America’s Forecasters” series, and he was one of them.

Busby was chosen to serve on the National Weather Association Board of Directors in 2021. When Bryan was a little child, he developed a keen interest in the weather in Cleveland, Ohio. He became aware that television was for him while he observed the weather. He provided weather reports for two Cleveland-based radio stations while still in high school. Bryan began his career in radio and later graduated from St. Louis University with a degree in meteorology.

At age 17, he began his career as a TV weatherman. He started working for St. Louis’ KTVI, Channel 2, in 1978. Even though he was just an intern, he was already the weekend weathercaster after just eight weeks at the station. Before beginning work at KMBC 9 News, he remained in St. Louis for eight years. “Until it becomes boring, I will continue to present the weather on TV. That will happen in a few more years, Busby chuckles.

Bryan is a born entertainer with humor and flair, and his acting is not just for television. Bryan performs five or six times a year as the primary timpanist with the Kansas City Civic Orchestra. He performs professionally as the lead timpanist for both the Saint Joseph Symphony, the city’s professional orchestra, and the Kinnor Philharmonic, an ensemble that is an artist in residence at the Jewish Community Centre. From 1992 until the orchestra’s final season in 2005, he performed as the Independence Messiah Festival Orchestra’s sole timpanist in the group’s yearly rendition of Messiah at the Community of Christ Auditorium.

At Sandstone Amphitheatre (formerly known as Azura Amphitheatre), he has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, the Kansas City Percussion Quartet, and even the Moody Blues. In addition to performing, Bryan has served as a featured Guest Conductor of the Kansas City Youth Symphony, leading that ensemble in performances at Carnegie Hall in New York City, Yardley Hall at the Midwest Trust Centre, Kemper Arena, and the United States Pavilion at the 1992 World’s Fair in Seville, Spain. Bryan has conducted local symphonies, community orchestras, bands, and high schools in addition to his work with the Youth Symphony.

Bryan is a talented musician, but his friends also know him as a fantastic voice actor. In fact, he provides the voice for his own cartoon character, Georgie Global, which has been featured on the Web, on television, and in publications all over the country. Bryan has been the sole voice actor for Santa Claus in his yearly radio Santa tracker for years. Busby intends to pursue a profession performing voice-overs when he retires from broadcasting to advance an interest he started in elementary school.
