American journalist Maria Quiban presently anchors the weather for KTTV in Los Angeles, California. In 2000, she became a part of the FOX 11 news team. She currently provides the daily weather prediction from 7 to 10 am on Good Day LA and FOX 11 Morning News. Quiban spent two years as the weather anchor for the daily 5, 6, 9, and 11 p.m. newscasts for OCN prior to joining FOX 11. (Orange County News Channel). She had previously worked as the nighttime meteorologist for the Honolulu, Hawaii, NBC affiliate KHNL.
Quiban has also played a reporter in numerous movies and television episodes, such as Cold Case, Bruce Almighty, Everybody Hates Chris, Criminal Minds, and Ryan’s Mystery Playdate. In the movie Blood Work, she also played a murder victim. By taking correspondence classes, Quiban graduated with a B.S. in meteorology from Mississippi State University in 2005.
