Prior to then, he covered the auto industry for the Chicago bureau, including the ongoing strike by the United Auto Workers against General Motors in Detroit, Michigan.
Trimble previously worked as a general assignment correspondent for Tampa, Florida’s WTSP-TV, a CBS station. Trimble spent his three years there covering national breaking news issues, including Hurricane Irma, the Pulse nightclub shooting, and the 2016 presidential election.
Trimble was a multimedia journalist for NBC’s WLBZ-TV in Bangor, Maine, and NBC’s WCSH-TV in Portland, Maine, before joining WTSP. In particular, Trimble covered the 2016 New Hampshire primary elections, the NFL/New England Patriots “Deflategate” incident, and the state-wide record-breaking snowstorms throughout his tenure at these stations.
