American meteorologist Bryan Schuerman, who has won an Emmy award, is currently employed as a meteorologist with Detroit’s WDIV-TV, an NBC affiliate. He began working with the 4Warn Weather Team in May 2022 as a freelance meteorologist. In March 2023, he was promoted to part-time meteorologist after demonstrating his prowess in predicting. He participated in every daypart and newscast that WDIV delivers as part of his job description and also contributed to additional severe and winter weather coverage in the studio, on location, and as a weekend morning feature weather reporter.

Schuerman is an experienced weather reporter who has covered some of the most important weather-related stories in the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley in recent years. He offers a plethora of expertise and experience to his area, having covered everything from Hurricane Sandy in 2012, with its torrential rainfall and strong winds on the Eastern Seaboard, to the EF-4 tornado in Dayton/Trotwood, OH in 2019. Schuerman has covered significant educational events in addition to his expertise in the weather, and in 2017 he contributed his voice to the West Virginia teachers’ strike that affected the entire state. Additionally, in December 2018, the National Weather Association awarded him with its Broadcasters Seal of Approval.

At California University of Pennsylvania, Schuerman has served on the boards of directors for the Student Association, Inc. and Alumni Association as well as the Human Rights Campaign-Cincinnati Chapter’s steering committee.

He also obtained the American Meteorological Society Certified Teacher Seal in recognition of his efforts to teach science to his students.
