Whether in front of the camera or behind it, Khan has devoted an enormous amount of time to covering breaking news, crimes, fires, and floods in Southern California.
She has seen it all, in one way or another, and from a variety of angles, as an assignment editor, weather/traffic producer, field producer, anchor, reporter, and meteorologist. Soumada graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Political Science before completing her coursework and specializing in Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
Soon after graduating from high school in 1999, Khan began her journalism career at KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles.
