In 2021, Parson departed WCBD to join WSPA. Although Parsons is a native of Boston, she decided to use her skills in the South when she accepted a position at the University of Central Florida.

Olivia accepted part-time employment at the city’s leading news organization, WFTV, where she worked as an associate producer during her final year at UCF, all because of one of her incredible instructors who was born and raised in the Lowcountry. Olivia covered stories on a variety of topics, including municipal elections, natural catastrophes, and hostage situations that broke the news.

As the weekend morning presenter and reporter during the week, Olivia joined the Count on 2 team in January 2019. She is very happy to be able to say that she lives in South Carolina.
