Famous American meteorologist Mike Augustyniak is the director of meteorology for WCCO-TV at the moment. Since he started working at the station in 2008, he has managed to set a new record for the number of cups of coffee consumed in a 10-hour period. Augustyniak also earned a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science from the University of Albany in May 2008. His master’s thesis included original research on the Mohawk-Hudson Convergence, a regional topographical phenomenon that is currently being used to help meteorologists in the region make more precise forecasts.
