In the animated series Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, he provided the voice of Shashi Dhar, a crime boss, racer, and the captain of SH1FT3R. In the movie, Shashi swindles wealthy Silicon Valley businessmen out of more than three billion dollars. He sneaks onto a ship and transfers $2,700,000,000 in cash using a USB drive. Shashi finds and gets into a car as the guards find the crippled guards and sound the alarm. He drives off the boat in the midst of the confusion and lands on a smaller boat being steered by Layla Gray. Shashi sees Tony Toretto and Layla Gray compete in a race that ends in a tie because they both cross the finish line simultaneously.

When Tony acknowledges that he is familiar with Shashi and that nothing occurs on his streets that he is unaware of, Shashi is even more amazed. Shashi is introduced to Tony’s crew and their areas of expertise. Tony is informed by Shashi that he has a wager with the opposing crew captain Scadan. Soft drink trucks from Canada to Mexico will be transported to SH1FT3R if Scadan is unable to do so. A race that includes a run through the mines is organized by Shashi. Shashi and Layla seize the lead during the race, but Tony cuts the distance between them. In order to steal one of the compartments, they approach a train from behind and drive onto the rails.

In the third and fourth seasons of the American teen drama television series 90210, he played Raj Kher, Ivy’s husband. They become buddies right away after meeting in a medical marijuana shop. Ivy is told by Raj that he uses marijuana as a cancer treatment. Their friendship quickly turns into something more, and they start dating. Raj helps Ivy quit using drugs and acting erratically. He helps Ivy get over her fear of the ocean as well.

Raj gets furious because he thinks Ivy will have a future while he won’t when they attend the West Bev prom, which has a future theme, and he and Ivy argue as a result. The following day, after making amends, Raj proposes to Ivy, and she says yes. In the season finale, Raj and Ivy exchange vows in an Indian ceremony on the sand. He tells her he’s cancer-free and departs for college when their marriage starts to fall apart in season four, but it’s subsequently revealed that he lied when he’s shown in the hospital on the verge of death that he was in remission. He and Ivy make up just before he passes away.
