James Brown is an American sportscaster who is best known for hosting The James Brown Show and The NFL Today on CBS Sports. In addition, he works as a CBS News Special Correspondent. He is also recognized for his eleven years as the host of Fox Sports’ NFL pregame show Fox NFL Sunday.

Brown went into the business sector after failing to join the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks squad when he tried out in the mid-1970s. He worked for Xerox and Eastman Kodak. Brown began his career in sports broadcasting in 1984, when he was offered a job doing television broadcasts for the Washington Bullets as well as a job as an analyst for The NBA on CBS alongside Frank Glieber.
