Hoda Kotb is an Egyptian-American broadcast journalist, author, and television personality. Kotb is the main co-anchor of the NBC News morning show Today as well as co-host of its entertainment-focused fourth hour. Before, Hoda served as a correspondent for the television news magazine program Dateline NBC. Kotb was selected co-host of the opening hours with Savannah Guthrie of the network’s flagship morning program, “Today” in 2018 January, marking the first time 2 female hosts were paired together in Today’s history.

After graduating from Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, Hoda stayed close to home to attend Virginia Tech. Kotb became involved with the Delta Delta Delta women’s sorority and WUVT, the student radio station, before obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree. in broadcast journalism in 1986.
