Glenda Lewis is a five-time Emmy Award-winning American journalist who presently serves as the co-anchor of 7 Action News at 5 p.m. and 7 Action News at 10 p.m. on TV20 Detroit at WXYZ-TV Action News in Detroit, Michigan. She was reared in Detroit, Michigan, but was born in Hollywood, California.
As a general assignment reporter and co-anchor of Action News Sunday at 6 and 11 p.m., Lewis joined the WXYZ-TV Action News team in September 2003. Glenda previously co-anchored ABC 12 News at 6 and 11 p.m. at WJRT-TV in Flint before joining Channel 7 News. She also worked as a reporter and anchor at WLNS-TV in Lansing and as a reporter and photographer at WBKB-TV in Alpena.
Lewis has won five Emmy Awards over her journalism career, including one for “Best Anchor,” as well as the Silver Circle Award from the Michigan Chapter of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences.
